Your Belcarra Blouses!

After sifting through everyone’s Belcarra blouses for the giveaway, I just can’t resist sharing all of these versions with you! I love seeing different versions of a pattern, I find that it really inspires me and gives me ideas for my next make. I hope this first set of Belcarra blouses inspires you too!

I’ve hyperlinked all of these photos, so you can click on the photo and it will lead you to the source. I’ll be back soon with another round up. We’re going to split this into three posts. Just too much gorgeousness for only one post.

Really beautiful blouses!!!! My favorites are the sheer-y white one, the black/white graphic and the one with lace sleeves! <3

My local fabric store was having a big sale so I bought enough fabric for 3 more blouses. I can’t wait to try out some mods I have in mind.

I just bought 2 Belcarra patterns, one for me and one for my best pal! Can’t wait to get cracking on it, especially after seeing all these lovely offerings!

Wow, looking at all of these beautiful Belcarras makes me want to sew up a whole wardrobe full of them, right now!!

I didn’t get my submission in in time for the contest, but I made a version out of white eyelet, here and would love to be included in the round-up! It’s a fabulous pattern:

Thanks for sharing Lucinda! I will include yours in the third round up. I love your version :)

Wow, they all look wonderful! Mine, on the othe hand, didn’t turn out very good. My shoulders are too narrow for the pattern, I think. I even tried to modified the neckline as you showed us in the earlier post, but it was still too wide. I suppose I need to make the neckline even narrower. What do you think?

    • Caroline Amanda June 24, 2014 at 10:48 pm #

Hi Violeta! Yes perhaps you could narrow the neckline, and also bring it up at center front and center back as well? How do the shoulders and sleeve fit? Perhaps you could go down a size in the sleeve and shoulder area to bring things in a bit. Good luck! Feel free to e-mail us if you still have any questions.

Thank you! I’ll do that. On me, the blouse looks like the neck opening is too big, and it always hangs down on either side to expose my shoulder (and the bra strap, of course). I will see if my head still fits through after the modification to the pattern.

I bought a Pendrell blouse pattern as well, I may change to the neckline before beginning to sew a test garment.

        Thank you for your reply.

I had the same problem, neck far too wide which is a bit disappointing (but will just wear it with a cardigan). What do you mean by bringing it up and the centre front and back? Thanks

    I loved this pattern!
