Yes, yes, yes!

I have very exciting news! Last week, Mr Sewaholic asked me to marry him. And I said yes!

We went out for a delicious dinner, randomly on a Tuesday night, but I didn’t suspect anything other than a wonderful mid-week treat! He was dressed up, but said he’d come straight from a business meeting. So it seemed like a regular, but nice, dinner date to me. And then after dinner, when we came home and opened the door… our apartment was filled with roses, he got down on one knee, and said he wanted to spend his life with me! To which I said yes, yes, yes!

The ring is vintage, from the 1930s, and it’s handcrafted. One big diamond, ten tiny diamonds in a platinum setting. I love it. It’s perfectly me, I think!

I’m so excited to be making it official with the man I love, and to be starting this new chapter of our life together! There’s so much to plan (dresses! setting a wedding date! planning the honeymoon!) but right now we’re both just so happy! I’m the luckiest girl in the world.

I’m going to take a few days off from blogging – because wow, there are suddenly several new things added to my to-do list – but I’ll be back later this week with more!

    Congratulations! From all I’ve heard about him through your blog, it seems like you two are perfectly suited for each other. And the ring is gorgeous! (Even though I’m generally not a diamond girl, lol…the vintage rings are pretty, though.)

    Congratulations! I love your ring – I got engaged in February and I really wanted vintage too but it was sooooo hard to find something I liked, then I spotted the one I loved in a jeweller’s window. (We chose it months before and my guy stashed it, lol.)
