Hey everyone! Guess what? My turquoise sweater (my first sweater!) was featured on the Tanis Fiber Arts blog! Tanis Fiber Arts is the brand of yarn I used to make my first sweater. It’s hand-dyed by a woman in Montreal named Tanis. Which I quite liked when I learned that fact, I like the idea of supporting other small businesses and other creative women! (Even better when she makes a beautiful product. This yarn is wonderful to work with and the colours are even more gorgeous in real life than in photos.)
Check out the post here. I’m super flattered to have my very first sweater, a pretty simple garment, featured along with beautiful lace shawls and other complicated projects on TFA Tuesday. (It’s a weekly feature that showcases projects made from her yarns.) Exciting stuff!

Congrats, that’s uber cool. You’ll be pleased to know your post inspired me to pick up the needles again, I am making a scarf in feather and fan to replace one I had previously but gave to someone else in more need than I for it…
Wow, congratulations Tasia! This is really exciting news. Your sweater is lovely – and sure to inspire others to start knitting.
Congratulations! Your sweater is awesome! I really want to make this as my first knitted garment after you blogged about it previously, but the Ravelry link for the pattern is not working at the moment sadly – I have emailed asking for a copy but am still waiting (I’m so impatient!) Hopefully I’ll be able to give it a go too before long :)
great news, sweater is lovely!
It’s nice to see the sweater get front page coverage!
Well it is a lovely sweater. The attention is well deserved.
Awesome – uber cool! Talk about positive reinforcement for a very talented lady and a job well done! The yarns are nice, the sweater is very well made…..but
THE BEST PART!!
A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY THAT LOOKS SPECTACULAR IN IT !!!
hugs
Your sweater is beautiful! You do deserve to be up there with the lace shawls – your stockinette sweater is perfect in its simplicity. Plus it really shows off that color!
Congratulations. It is a beautiful colour and so well done. You must be stoked!
Looks gorgeous.
