Long Weekend Deals: Half Price Notions

One last thought before I sign off for the Easter weekend…

If you’re in the Vancouver area, this long weekend is the time to stock up on trims! Notions, lining and interfacing are HALF PRICE at Fabricana this weekend.

Which is fantastic, as I usually get so caught up in buying the actual fabric that I leave without getting the trims to complete the project. Or, I change my mind on what I’m going to make, and turn out needing a zipper instead of buttons. Anyways, regardless of the reasons, it’s a great time to buy notions and lining and interfacing. I’ll be hitting the sale later on today or tomorrow, for sure!

Check out Fabricana’s website for locations and hours, and sign up for email updates so you’re in the loop for future sales. See you there!

PS. Thanks to everyone who sent me ideas and comments on my Sewing for Men post. He’s thrilled now about the idea of custom-made jeans, what have you ladies got me into?! Seriously though, I’m up for the challenge and think it will be a fun project.  Kwik Sew 3504, here I come!

Uh oh…good luck with the jeans!! I’m sure he’ll love them because of the love (and frustration) that you put into them! Too funny about the notions; I ALWAYS forget to get mine because I get so excited about the fabric and have to make another trip to the store. I did stock up on buttons just the other day though at an antique store ($1.50 well spent on tons of buttons!). Have a great Easter!!

Hi, really enjoying reading your blog… thanks for all the information… have not visited Dresssew, but definitely this weekend, I`m all all excited visiting. By the way, would you know if the store do carry embroidery (machine) thread – polyster or rayon??? or would you have any idea where I could pick machine embroidery thread cheaply… I am just taking up interest and don’t want to expense too much on the embroidery supplies, just in case its a passing phase. Thank you for all the information….

@Lakhvir: Dressew has everything, so I’m sure they have embroidery thread! And if they do, I bet it would be well priced. I am sure Fabricana does, too. If you’re not sure whether to make the trip, give them a phone call first to check it out… Happy shopping!
