Hollyburn Sew-Along with Rachel from My Messings!

Happy Friday, everyone! Would you like to join a sew-along for the new Hollyburn Skirt? Now’s the perfect time! Rachel from My Messings is going to host a sew-along on her blog!

Meet Rachel, and her lovely Hollyburn Skirt:

rachel's hollyburn skirt

Rachel was a pattern tester for the skirt pattern, and she enjoyed it so much she’s planning to make more! (Always a good sign when a second version is immediately planned after sewing the first one. I know that feeling!)

Here’s a link to her blog post about the making of her skirt, and another post with more sew-along information. And here’s a link to the pattern page if you don’t have a copy yet. Thank you, Rachel for organizing this!

I’m so excited about joining Rachel for the sew-along and I know she’s going to do a fabulous job and will be sharing lots of great tips along the way :)

Oh, I think I could jump on board for this SAL. The skirt is exactly the type of skirt I’ve been looking for!

I’m hoping to get the pattern and fabric in time, and that this will get me sewing without spending weeks and weeks planning!

I’m almost finished my first one (just the hem left), and I’ve already planned one more in some fabric I’ve been hoarding for ages. Usually I don’t even bother with patterns for skirts, but this one looked so perfect I couldn’t resist :). The pockets are even inspiring me to try not lugging around a purse for a change!
